Looking for ways to give back to the community? There are a couple of ways to make a difference when volunteering with AAAW by either serving on the Board of Directors (BoD) or through non-Board roles. AAAW’s BoD encourages a learning environment, so you don’t need extensive experience to join the volunteer Board; however, for Officer roles, it is preferred that you’ve been active in the community for at least two (2) years and for non-Officer roles one (1) year.
The Board of Director application period has closed. If you want to volunteer for non-Board roles, you can complete the volunteer interest form anytime of the year!
Current Organization Needs:
- Event Planning Committee – assist and report to AAAW’s BoD on planning its quarterly events (Spring Potluck/Summer BBQ/Holiday Party) as well as any ad-hoc events, and manage logistics (this is a non-Board role);
- General Volunteer – assist day-of operations for events including but not limited logistics, and help setup before and cleanup after events; as a general volunteer, you will correspond with both the Volunteer Coordinator and Event Planning Committee (this is a non-Board role)
If you are interested in volunteering on the Board, please review the roles and responsibilities document and complete the following volunteer interest form. If you are not looking to join the Board, please fill out the form so we can find the right opportunity for you based on your interests and skills.
