The Asian Adult Adoptees of Washington Adoptee Mentorship Program is a group mentoring program that meets once a month on the first Sunday of each month from October to June. The purpose of this program is to cultivate relationships between Asian and Pacific Islander adoptees of various ages, in order to support identity development and build community through engaging activities. Adoption Identity Race and Ethnicity (AIRE) is a discussion session between mentors and mentees. Topics have ranged from birth searches, identity, bullying, family relationships, etc. Parent Adoption Identity Race and Ethnicity (PAIRE) is a parent program, facilitated by AMP Chairs, Mentors, and community volunteers which offers workshops for parents, typically held during AMP programming, approximately three times a year.
